Employer Readiness Specialists are responsible for creating an employer-focused, pleasant and inviting environment while receiving, serving, and routing the flow of customers.
They are the first interaction a customer has with our WorkOne system and thus set the tone for the customer experience.
Employer Readiness Specialists are focused on assisting others and promoting employer demand skills.
The Employer Readiness Specialists engage customers, facilitate self-guided services, implement skills assessments, and provide over the shoulder assistance to customers, all in an effort to identify motivated employer ready job seekers and connect them to Career Advisor staff.
All services delivered by the WorkOne staff are rooted in an exceptional understanding of employer demands, industry expertise, and area community-based services.
Employer Readiness Specialists are responsible for effectively conveying this knowledge to community jobseekers, encouraging change and promoting WorkOne services.
Employer Readiness Specialists deal effectively with a diverse population including peers, professional staff, management, collaborative community organizations, and a varied customer population.
They work rapidly and adapt to high traffic times effectively.
DUTIES:
Provide premier customer service to all internal and external customers.
Maintain strict confidentiality at all times when handling sensitive information.
Provide basic over the shoulder assistance to customers using computers and/or other forms of technology.
Schedule and serve as back up to facilitate skills assessments for customers without interpreting results.
Discuss available jobs and employer demand with all customers.
Complete accurate and timely data entry within staff database(s).
Ensure speed of service is fast paced with little to no wait times, while delivering on exceptional customer experience.
Promote WorkOne products and resources to customers.
Attend staff meetings.
Assist with events held in the office.
Maintain room schedule.
Submit required reports in a timely manner.
Contribute as a team member to ensure WorkOne Center performance standards are met and/or exceeded, and in compliance with Federal, State, Regional and WorkOne standards.
Provide support and/or assistance to teammates.
Encourage customers to complete customer service surveys on a regular and consistent basis.
Identify and refer appropriate customers to Career Advisors for Individualized services.
Ensure the quality and accuracy for the records of WorkOne customers in follow up.
Keep abreast to the current industry specific information, employer demand and jobs in ICC available within our region.
Other duties as assigned.
ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS AND
Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent required, bachelor's degree preferred.
One-year related experience and knowledge of employment, training or workforce development, preferred.
Complete and thorough knowledge of:
o Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and Outlook) o Indiana Career Connect (ICC) o Online Scheduling System o WorkKeys o TABE o Any and all other related software PHYSICAL EFFORT AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:
The physical demands described are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit and talk or hear.
The employee is occasionally required to stand.
This position is office based and physical presence in the assigned office is required as defined by the CEO or designee during the hours set for the office or project.
This position has some travel expectations as staffer must travel to meetings in the region.
Travel may be required within the region (NWI), to Indianapolis and elsewhere for project work or training.
Ability to travel, have a valid driver's license and insurance coverage of $100,000/$300,000.
May work an adjusted schedule when needed, which may require work outside the hours of the WorkOne business day.
WORK RELATIONSHIPS:
Works with the staff of the WorkOne system, the CWI operations team, local community-based entities, and members of the general public.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
