Description
As a Assistant Payroll at Golden LivingCenters, you'll work closely with leadership in many different departments, providing meaningful and vital support. Your administrative and clerical work will meaningfully support a variety of office functions and help to ensure smooth and efficient operations. All this you'll do with a smile to help promote positive relationships with residents, visitors and regulators. GENERAL PURPOSE
Assists in the administration of payroll tasks performed at the location, including but not limited to general payroll questions of time and attendance, assists with form completion, helps to maintain personnel records.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES
+ May assists in or prepare and maintain schedules for nursing staff to assure provision of nursing services to patients according to company parameters in accordance with State and Federal guidelines.
+ May coordinate or assists in coordinating monitors and adjusts schedules for the Nursing Department to include daily, weekly, holiday vacation, make-up, rotation schedules, et al.
+ Prepares, distributes and processes requests for schedule changes, leaves, PTO, etc.
+ Coordinate, monitor and review time records for accuracy and properly code of labor hours.
+ Assists in monitoring, allocating and otherwise maintains bonus incentive pay.
+ Maintains Nursing Department Paid Time Off book for payroll coordinator.
+ Prepares staffing files and maintains current phone lists
+ Records absence and late reports.
+ Prepares daily and weekly management reports as needed.
+ Updates and prepares staffing orientation packets and orients new personnel to staffing and scheduling policies and procedures
+ Assists staff with concerns, conflicts and questions regarding schedules, policies, time records and related issues
+ Answers Nursing Department personal phone calls, screens for importance and forwards messages, as appropriate
+ May enter updates and maintain employee records within the PeopleSoft system
CODE OF CONDUCT
Must adhere to the Company's Code of Conduct and Business Ethics policy including documentation and reporting responsibilities.
Position Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS
+ High school diploma or equivalent
+ Minimum of two (2) years experience in an office environment, preferred
+ LPN or RN, preferred ?? Experience in scheduling and coordination tasks, preferred
+ Must be capable of maintaining regular attendance
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES & BEHAVIORS
+ Excellent oral and written communication skills
+ Basic math skills ?? Capable of operating a computer at a level necessary to accomplish the job ??
+ Basic understanding Microsoft Office including Excel and Word as well as mainframe computer systems
+ Excellent organizational skills, including the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
+ Ability to relate professionally and positively and work cooperatively with patients, families, and other employees at all levels
+ Must be able to maintain confidentiality regarding patient, employee and company proprietary information
PHYSICAL AND SENSORY REQUIREMENTS
Mobility, reaching, bending, lifting (minimum of 10 pounds), fine hand coordination, ability to read and write, the ability to understand and follow written and oral instructions and directions, ability to travel, and ability to remain calm under pressure.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
